I’m Tracy Perks - the designer behind Rope & Anchor Trading Co., a quilting brand shaped by creativity, community, and a life lived partly on the water.

For over a decade, my floating studio The Little Boat on the Grand Union Canal was where I designed quilt patterns, stitched samples, filmed tutorials, and welcomed a growing creative community. Those boat roots remain a huge part of who I am, they taught me to create in small spaces, design with intention, and find my community.

Today, I’m based in a Scottish cottage studio, bringing together everything I’ve learned from years of quilting afloat. My patterns are designed to be beginner‑friendly, visual, and confidence‑building, with clear row‑by‑row instructions and diagrams that make quilting feel accessible and simple.

Before quilting became my full‑time world, I spent 30+ years in HR, training and development. That background shapes how I teach: patient, encouraging, and focused on helping people grow. It’s at the heart of my workshops, retreats, and the patterns I create.

You’ll also find me as a Guest Designer on Sewing Street TV, sharing techniques, tips, and a love of fabric.

Whether you discovered me through my boat studio, my patterns, my retreats, or Sewing Street, I’m so glad you’re here. Rope & Anchor is a place for beginners, confident quilters, and anyone who loves making something beautiful with their hands.
